Well, we’ve outgrown our own space after three successful Seedy Saturdays, and are moving up and out. This year we’re calling the event Saanich Seedy Saturday. We’ve set a date (Saturday January 9, 2016), a time (10am to 2pm) and a place (The Gardens at HCP, 505 Quayle Road, Victoria). We have a speaker: the always entertaining Don Genova, author of Food Artisans of Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands, who will be speaking on his favourite tasty and under-represented vegetables: how to grow them and what to do with them. There will be some 25 local vendors offering pesticide-free seeds and plant starts, aromatic beverages from Level Ground Trading, and a measly $5 admission fee which gives you access to the gorgeous winter gardens at HCP. As always with Seedy Saturdays, you’ll find children’s activities and a community seed swap. Hope we’ll see you there!

Is it possible to set up a vendor table for seedy Saturday?

Hi Russell, thanks for your interest! The tables are mostly spoken for – very limited space and we’ve given priority to seed sellers and Saanich businesses/nonprofits that promote organic growing. Your product might be better featured at the larger venue at Victoria Seedy Saturday in February. Hope you can drop in to visit our event anyway.
