With local families in need because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Hali’s Makoha Farm has initiated a Community Food Program.
Farmers Amy & Calum are looking for donors to purchase food bags that the farmers will distribute to recipients in the Greater Victoria area who have been identified by the program’s partners, Cystic Fibrosis Canada – Victoria Chapter, the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association, and Langford Fire Rescue.
The produce will come from Makoha and other Haliburton farmers, and for the purchased bags that involve “extras”, items like honey, bread, eggs and pastries will be purchased from other local small businesses. For more details, and how to purchase a bag, check out Makoha’s website.
