One of our farm businesses, Saanich Native Plants, has always attracted an interested public to its open air ‘showroom’ (plant nursery) at the farm where a dazzling array of native plants are on offer. Kristen and James have also hosted monthly work parties in the farm’s Urban Biodiversity Enhancement & Restoration (UBER) wetlands. With COVID-19 physical distancing restrictions in place, the farm gate is closed at present, and neither the nursery nor the work parties are open to visitors. However, you can still order native plants for delivery.

With concerns over the spread of COVID-19, we are committed to continuing to provide native plants while also maintaining a safe environment for our customers and staff. In light of current physical distancing requirements, we respectively request that you do not visit the nursery in person at this time; instead please shop with us online!

Do you have someone that would come to Pender Island and talk about Native Plants to our garden club next spring?
Our club meets in the afternoon. from 1-3, so an interested person would come over on the morning ferry and head back on the 3ish ferry.
